Aloha Day 6

Day 5 of Hawaii consisted of me becoming very sick, with Norwalk Virus...not food poisoning apparetly! So no pictures of that I'm sorry to report. Moving right along into Day 6. Our final day in Hawaii.

We went on a boating excursion called Fairwinds. And I got to Snuba Dive!! It was so cool. It was just like scuba diving except you don't have to be certified. I kept wanting to go down further but you are attached to this rope type thing so you couldn't go all the way down, and I accidentally hit the coral a few times...hope I didn't kill it.

After that my dad and I were in the water and a huge heard of Dolphins came where our boat was. I'm not kidding there was probably like 30 dolphins ( and there were babies too!). They were swimming under us and all around us. They were so close I could touch them, but I was a bit nervous to. We were probably out there for 30 minuets just watching them and being around them. It was my favorite memory from Hawaii and one I will cherish forever.
See that orange drink? It's pedialyte. I was trying to rehydrate after my illness issue and apparently that is also something people use for a hangover? Who knew and everyone (including the cute crew men) thought I was hungover.  The only Mormon on the boat and I was accused of having a hangover. Nice.
Dress: Nordstrom. Belt: H&M
We finished off our final night having appetizers down at the hotel close to us. They played me and my moms song upon request by my dad. It's that Hawaiian somewhere over the rainbow song. I used to think it was so lame and cheesy, but now some of my very major family moments have had that as the background music.

And the next day we headed back to the mainland, and although this picture says different I was happy to go back.

Aloha Day 4

Day 4 consisted of kayaking in the ocean and going to a luau.

We enjoyed swimming and snorkeling in the ocean. As well as eating fresh pineapple on the water.

Dress: Shade. Shoes: Nordstrom.

The Luau was full of pictures taken, fake hawaiian tattoos, hula and fire stick lessons, too much food to handle, and a show.

Aquarium of the Pacific.

Yesterday was a day for a new skirt and the Aquarium of the Pacific, in Long Beach. I made this skirt with fabric from the fashion district and a pattern from the 80's.
Skirt: Made by me. Top: Old Navy. Coat: Forever 21. Shoes: Steven Madden.

The scenery in Long Beach was just beautiful. Every now and then I love to get out of the city, and I love being so close to the ocean so that is usually my get away of choice.

I love me the ocean and some boats.

Some wild life.

My skirt cost a total of $17.00, which I thought was pretty sweet, and I fit in perfect with boats and fish.
